Since there would be no better place for me to mention them, I also throw in using debug mode and installing the Civ 5 SDK through Steam, which includes the World Builder. It will help me immensely by showing all ideologies, tile improvements and such at once which can help me improve the newbie guide much faster than I would without it. I have to express my thanks to the creators for their brilliance and dedication to their project. Many players may be completely unaware of its existence, so I've summarized its features and just how many things you can do with it. I'll warn you though, dont add extra culture. You can modify how much gold you start out with. Add as many other civs as you want, and choose the one you want to play as. Randomly generate a map and than go to I think its called the scenario editor. This should convince those who search and are disappointed in a lack of cheats to try the IGE. If you want unlimited gold, just use the SDK map builder thing. Even experienced players could use it for testing and experimentation. I do not believe this to be a game that anyone would find satisfaction from cheating to win, but the IGE does allow some powerful actions to allow people to test new ideas and cheat their asses off. I wrote this guide to the 'cheating' options in Civ for people who look for that type of thing, though I personally recommend playing at a lower difficulty rather than cheating to learn and improve, it still has its uses. ![]() ![]() I was looking for tools to help me test the game for my writing and discovered the power of this tool. This Guide will show all you can do wth this great and easy to. I was once asked if there was a way for someone to try different combinations of unique units from multiple Civs by using some command or cheat, and the Ingame Editor was recommended by another reader as the best option to accomplish that. However, the powerful Ingame Editor can accomplish all of the effects youd desire from cheating.
